Scranton’s drainage issues cause series to be moved to Allentown

As reported by one of our facebook fans (Are you a facebook fan? join now!),it seems that PNC Field in Moosic,PA (home of the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees has been having serious drainage issues all year. They were forced to cancel their July 4th weekend games due to soggy conditions, despite having a beautiful day for baseball.

The games are being moved to Coca Cola Field in Allentown (home of the IronPigs),but they are offering free tickets to any Moosic ticketholders,as well as free bonus tickets for Lehigh Valley’s season ticket holders.

It’s horrible to have these kinds of problems –must be a nightmare for the stadium operator. But,it appears that to the best of their ability, both Scranton and Allentown are trying to do right by the fans as much as possible.
