Rosenblatt Stadium, home of the College World Series since the 1950′s has now formall lost it’s last tenant. KTIV.com reports that the new 6,000 seat park will be built in Sarpy County, along 12th street and highway 370. The new park should be open for the 2011 season, and will be built with $26 million in taxpayer monies and promised Royals revenues.

Additionally a new Omaha baseball stadium is being built for the College World Series, with a capacity above 24,000. the CWS park will cost in excess of $120 million, and will be the home of the College World Series for the next 25 years. What they’ll use it for the other 47 weeks of the year has not yet been disclosed.
